This day at Green River, 1965: Openings for 100 more students
On June 2, 1965, The Auburn Globe reported that Mel Lindbloom had announced there was still room for about 100 more students for Green River's first class in the upcoming fall quarter. The College was receiving about ten applications per day, and Lindbloom noted that a significant majority of these applications were from local students who had gone on to a four-year institution but really needed a smaller more focused environment. At the time of publication approximately 1000 students had enrolled including both full- and part-time applicants.
