Meet the 2015 Green River womens fastpitch softball team.

Although the softball team went 1-3 in Yakima with losses to Columbia Basin, Clark, and Douglas College, there were many positives for the Gators to take away from the weekend. For example, after dropping their first three games, the Gators came back to defeat Walla Walla on Sunday. In addition to coming home with a win, many players had huge performances at the plate for the Gators.

Marissa Gardner went 5 for 11 on the weekend with a double and her third home run of the season. Ashley Starke also had a good weekend going 5 for 10 with a double, triple, two RBI, and a stolen base. Allie Allen had 7 hits in her 14 at bats with a triple and four runs batted in. She raised her batting average to .406 on the season. Also, Aris Califano went 7 for 12 with 3 runs batted in on the weekend.

The Gators record currently sits at 8-19 overall and 3-5 in western division play. They will host Pierce College Friday at Kent Service Fields in a double header with games starting at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
