Mark your calendars! Highly acclaimed poet Lorna Dee Cervantes to visit campus May 12
Lorna Dee Cervantes is set to join the Green River College community for a day of activity on May 12. The campus community is invited to join in at 1 p.m. in the Glacier Room.
A highly acclaimed poet, author, and editor; Cervantes is the founder of Mango Publications, founder of Red Dirt literary magazine, and has been actively involved in the American Indian and Chicano movements since the 1970's. She is currently the Director of the Creative Writing program at the University of Colorado-Boulder.

Cervantes will spend her day at Green River meeting with the Latino Literature class, the American Ethnic and Minority Studies class, students form the Latino Student Union and from the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in addition to her noon discussion open to the campus community.
