The Dispute Resolution Center of King County and the Green River Community Mediation and Peace-Building Institute are co-sponsoring a workshop for community members to learn conflict resolution skills.

The workshop, named ''Conflict Resolution Skills for Work and Home," will be held at Green River Community College's Kent Campus on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

In this six-hour workshop, you will learn and practice three steps (Think-Listen-Collaborate) for effective resolution of conflicts at work, at home, and with friends. The full-day version of this workshop will provide extensive practice learning the strategies to implement each step of the model. Save time, energy and hassle! Build on and improve relationships. Add to the communication skills you already have.

The registration deadline for this workshop is Nov. 10. Advance registration is required. Register at www.kcdrc.org.

The Nov. 18 workshop offers a discounted price of $75 to those living or working in Auburn, Covington, Enumclaw, Kent or Maple Valley, and students and employees of Green River Community College.
