Gator invasion coming this summer

Those razor teeth, those bulging eyes...that spongy texture.

This summer, hundreds of Green River foam gators will be fanning out across the landscape for our 'Gator Invasion' campaign.

Left over from a previous promotion, these extra giveaways will be popping up in the most unlikely of places throughout the community--park benches, shopping carts, post offices, bus stops, coffee shops--just waiting to be discovered and adopted by an unsuspecting person.

Each gator has the Green River logo and will be tagged, which will prompt the person who finds it to post a photo with a hash tag (#grccgators), so we can track engagement on social media.

The objective? Create a little publicity buzz for Green River, increase engagement with the public, and recruit, retain and enroll more students.

The MarCom team, which has been prepping and tagging more than 1,250 gators, plans to randomly distribute them whenever and wherever they shop, run errands, or recreate throughout the Puget Sound area over the next several months, starting this week.

An operation of this scale can't happen without reinforcements, however, so if you want to assist in this guerrilla marketing effort and distribute some gators of your own, contact MarCom to reserve yours today.
